HybriDrive^® Propulsion Systems

BAE Systems is the world's leading producer of efficient, low-emission hybrid electric propulsion systems for heavy-duty vehicles. The company's HybriDrive^® propulsion technology has been in daily revenue service on buses in New York and other cities since 1998. With more than 1,000 buses employing its HybriDrive^® propulsion system in service or on order, BAE Systems leads the fast-growing market for hybrid electric transit buses.

HybriDrive^® technology also has been demonstrated on military vehicles, including a pair of 5-ton U.S. Army tactical trucks and the Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicle, a prototype six-wheeled vehicle developed and tested under the Army's Future Combat Systems initiative.
