We Protect Those Who Protect Us®
Our motto reflects the pride and resolve of our employees as they design and build complex electronic systems for homeland security, commercial aviation, and military vehicles on land, at sea, and in the air.
People are our greatest resource. As the Electronics, Intelligence & Support operating group of BAE Systems doubles its sales in the next five years, and as baby boomers begin to retire, it is critical that we bring in a new generation of employees with great potential to help us deliver our many products and services to meet our customers' needs.
The Manufacturing Internship Program seeks to help high school students explore career paths, develop marketable skills, earn academic credit, and learn about the manufacturing industry, while giving the company a chance to identify potential future employees.
Each student receives a semester of on-the-job training, as well as mentoring by a supervisor dedicated to cultivating the intern’s development. In addition to hands-on technical and business skills, students learn soft skills such as communicating clearly, working on a team, meeting commitments, and solving problems.
If you are a self-starter who likes to work with your hands and have an interest in manufacturing, ask your guidance counselor or school-to-careers coordinator about our Manufacturing Internship Program.
